How do I book a taxi on GoCatch?

  1. Set your pick up and destination address
  2. Choose your vehicle option then tap the ‘Next’ button
  3. Choose payment option, add a tip or instruction and hit ‘Request Taxi’
  4. When a driver accepts your booking, will you will see the driver’s taxi number so you can match it up with driver’s taxi licence plate
  5. You now have the option of calling your driver to confirm location and pick up time
  6. When you reach destination. Driver will enter the fare in the app, and you can select your method of payment by tapping the option button for Credit Card, Paypal, or Cash.

Note: When paying by voucher credit, select the ‘Credit Card’ option and the red ‘Pay’ button and balance will automatically be calculated and removed from the total fare.

How do I pay for a ride with GoCatch?

Paying through Credit Card

  1. You first need to register your credit card by going to the ‘Account’ section in the app and either scanning or manually add your credit card details.
  2. You will then need to set a 4 digit pin to authorise payments made through your credit card.

Paying through Paypal

  1. At your destination, select ‘PayPal’ at the top of payment screen
  2. Then select the yellow ‘Pay with Paypal ‘ button on the bottom of the screen.
  3. Then select the blue ‘Pay with Paypal’ button.
  4. You will now see the Paypal login screen and will need to enter your valid Paypal email account and password.
  5. Then click the ‘Send Payment’ button to confirm payment to the driver.

Once payment is confirmed , you will receive a payment confirmation for the amount paid.

NOTE: If your driver refuses to accept your payment in the GoCatch app, please tap ‘Report Driver’ or call GoCatch Support on +61 2 9119 221 from 9am to 9pm Monday to Sunday.

How to apply a Voucher/Promo Code?

Tap on the Menu icon on the top left hand corner and select the ‘Voucher’ tab. Then tap ‘Redeem Voucher’ and enter code.

  1. Scroll down to Voucher
  2. Enter voucher code
  3. You will receive a message confirming voucher credit has been added to your account

How much does GoCatch cost?

The GoCatch app is available for Free on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store.

Enter your details correctly

This might sound obvious, but you would be surprised. Please enter your details correctly so that your driver can pick you up. If, for example,you enter an incorrect phone number, your driver will try to call you, won’t get through and probably won’t pick you up.

Here are some recommended tips on how to use GoCatch effectively

Call your driver

Often your driver will call you to tell you that they’re on their way. If they don’t call, you have the option to call them to ensure they’re coming to pick you up. If your driver does call, make sure you answer the phone, otherwise they might think you don’t really want a taxi.

Don’t abandon your driver

When you get a taxi, you can see how far away it is on the map and how many minutes you can expect to wait. Please wait for them. Jumping into another cab on the street is really not very nice. You do have the option to abandon the job if you no longer need the taxi, or if the driver is too far away.

If your driver is only 10 or 15 minutes away, please don’t be too quick to abandon them. 10 minutes might seem like a long time – but remember,if you abandon your GoCatch driver you may wait 30 minutes on the side of the street and still not have a taxi.

Offer a tip if it’s busy

Sometimes it is really, really hard to get a cab – busy week-ends and the festive season come to mind. Sometimes you really, really need a cab, and fast. GoCatch enables you to offer a tip to drivers. Sometimes this improves your chances of being picked up as quickly as possible

It's taking a long time to get a taxi - what should I do?

Often a GoCatch driver will accept a fare request within 30 seconds, however sometimes it does take longer. It may be a busy time of the day, you may be a long way from the city or there may be no drivers in the immediate proximity.

With GoCatch, you can see how many drivers have received your job, how many have rejected it and how long it has taken – we want you to have certainty about whether or not you have a taxi.
