How do I download GoCatch?

  1. If you are a GoCatch driver, tap on the Google Play icon on your phone
  2. Tap the magnifying glass icon on the top right hand corner
  3. Then in the search bar type GoCatch
  4. Once you have found the goCatch app, tap ‘Install’
  5. A screen will pop up with ‘App Permissions’ select ‘Install’
  6. You will now see the download status bar
  7. Once download is complete tap ‘Open’
  8. Select ‘I am a driver’

How do I sign up with GoCatch?

  1. Select the green ‘Sign up’ button
  2. Fill in First Name, Email Address, Mobile Number and set up a 4 digit Pin
  3. Once you have entered your Australian mobile number, you will need to verify your mobile number by tapping the green ‘OK’ button.
    Note: On the ‘Mobile Number’ option ensure the flag is set to the Australian flag.
  4. A five (5) digit SMS verification code will be sent to your SMS Messages.
  5. Enter your 5 digit code into goCatch
  6. Please take a picture of your Drivers Licence and Taxi Authority ID photo
  7. Please select ‘Add Shift’
  8. Add Shift Start and End times including Working Days.
  9. Remember to tap the ‘Save’ button when done.
  10. Please enter Taxi Number, Vehicle Type and Taxi Network and tap the ‘Save’ button when done.
  11. Select ‘Account’ by tapping on the GoCatch logo top left hand corner of app
  12. Fill in your Account Name, BSB Number, Account Number, and a Valid ABN . Then tap the ‘Save’ button.
  13. Please ensure your Profile, Validation, Vehicle Details and Account details have all been entered. When complete tap the green button that says ‘Apply to be a GoCatch driver’. Then contact our Support team on support@gocatch.com to activate your account.

How do I accept jobs with GoCatch?

  1. When a passenger posts a job it will pop up on your screen showing pick up Suburb and destination Suburb
  2. If you want to accept the job tap the green ‘Accept Button’
  3. Call the passenger by tapping the ‘Call Passenger ‘ button, let them know you are their goCatch driver and you are on your way.
  4. Once you picked up the passenger tap the green ’Collected’ button and confirm.
  5. Once you have delivered the passenger to their destination, tap the green ‘Delivered’ button

How do I accept payments from the passenger with GoCatch?

GoCatch passengers can pay with credit card, Pay Pal or cash.

Here’s what you need to know:

  1. At the end of the trip, you enter the metered fare
  2. GoCatch automatically adds the booking fee and tip. Then the passenger will then select to pay via Cash, Paypal or Credit Card
  3. With credit card or PayPal, you will see the payment go through into your GoCatch account and see a payment summary
  4. If the passenger chooses cash, they must tap the cash button and then GoCatch will tell you how much cash to collect from the passenger screen

How do I download GoCatch?

  5. You will now see the download status bar
  6. Once download complete tap ‘Open’

How do I sign up with GoCatch?

  1. At the screen prompt ‘GoCatch Would like to Use Your Current Location’ please tap ‘OK’
  2. Select the green ‘Sign up’ button

How do I accept jobs with GoCatch?

  1. When a passenger posts a job it will pop up on your screen showing pick up Suburb and destination Suburb.

How do I check that location services is switched on?

For the GoCatch app to pinpoint your correct location, it is important to have ‘Locations Services’ turned on. Here’s how you enable it.

  1. Go to the iPhone’s Settings
  2. Tap Privacy
  3. Tap Location Services
  4. Make sure you have turned ‘Locations Services’ on. Then scroll down to GoCatch and make sure you have turned ‘Location Services’ on for the app

How do I turn on Notifications and Alerts?

To receive notifications and jobs alerts for GoCatch you will need to make sure you have turned the following features on.

  1. Go to your iPhone’s Settings
  2. 2 Scroll down and tap on Notification Centre
  3. Scroll down to GoCatch and tap it.
  4. Select ‘ Banners’ ensure ‘Badge App Icon’ and ‘Sounds’ and ‘ Show in Notification Center’, ‘Show in Lock Screen’ is all turned on.

How do I turn on loud job sounds and compass navigation on?

  1. Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner
  2. Scroll down to ‘Settings’
  3. Look for ‘Loud Job Sounds’ and turn on

Note: Optional if you want to turn ‘ Compass Navigation’ on

How do I receive payments from goCatch

Money will be transferred to your nominated bank account

Between Monday to Friday, your money will be transferred to your nominated bank account within 24 hours of receiving a payment. Any payments received late Friday afternoon, Saturday or Sunday will be transferred to your nominated bank account on Monday.

Note: International drivers (Outside Australia) payments will be transferred to a drivers nominated Paypal account.

What are goPoints?

goPoints is a points system that rewards drivers for doing the right thing while using goCatch.

You get goPoints when you complete jobs. The more jobs you do, the more goPoints you get. When you get enough goPoints, you are upgraded to the next level and unlock access to better jobs, more frequently. There are four levels; Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum.

At the top of the map screen, you can see your current goPoints balance, status level, and the number of goPoints required to reach the next level. If you tap on the goPoints bar, you’ll be able to see more information.

When a job appears, tap on the job to see the details. At the top of the screen, you’ll be able to see how many points you’ll earn for accepting and completing the job.

Can I lose goPoints?

You can lose goPoints for the following reasons:

  • Abandoning a goCatch job or an advance booking
  • Misuse of the app

After accepting a job, if you abandon the job, you will lose goPoints immediately.

The following reasons for abandoning a job are unacceptable:

  • You saw a better job
  • A passenger jumped in your taxi
  • You did not read the ‘Instructions’ properly
  • You did not read the Pickup and/or Destination properly

If you do this often your status will be downgraded one level.

For example, if you are a Silver Driver and you abandon too many jobs, you will be downgraded to Bronze status.

Gold

Required Points: 5000
Priority over Silver, Bronze and Unranked drivers

Priority over Gold, Silver, Bronze and Unranked

The goCatch code of conduct

At goCatch, we care about you – taxi drivers that use goCatch and provide outstanding service to goCatch passengers.

That’s the reason for the goCatch Code of Conduct, because we care about the well-being of all our goCatch users. So, to maintain access to the goCatch app, here are some important Dos & Don’ts:

Dos

  • Remember you are the face of goCatch and must be courteous and professional at all times
  • Assist passengers as best you can
  • Carefully read job details before accepting
  • Only accept jobs and bookings you can complete
  • Call passengers once you’ve accepted a job or booking
  • Make your way immediately to the passenger after confirmation of job from passenger

Dont’s

  • Don’t be rude, aggressive or argumentative towards passengers
  • Don’t accept jobs before reading the job details
  • Don’t falsely ‘No Show’ passengers
  • Don’t refuse payment in the app
  • Don’t ask passengers to abandon jobs to avoid the job fee
  • Don’t pass on the job bonus to passengers
  • Don’t overcharge passengers
  • Don’t accept a job unless you can go to the passenger immediately

The following actions will result in the suspension of your goCatch account:

  • Refusing to accept payment via goCatch
  • Overcharging passengers (do not charge them your job bonus or job fee)
  • Abusive or threatening behaviour towards passengers or our staff
  • Failing to collect a passenger
  • Any dishonest or fraudulent activity, such as fraudulent job postings, falsely delivery, completing jobs
